Water

New Kit
Hi guys

I have two dwarf lops.

They are about 5 months old and they hardly ever seem to drink any water.

Is this normal?

Thanks

Kate

Also, do you give them a lot of veg that's washed? Or do they eat a lot of grass? In either case they'll drink less water as they're getting water from their food..

water - reply

thanks guys for the advice.

They live in a hutch at night but in a large run in the day, and they can get in and out of their hutch at anytime during the day.

They have a bottle to drink from.
I will try a ceramic bowl.

Not many puddles right now!

:thumb: Exactly. On a fresh food diet they get enough water for their needs. Wildies don't drink water.
If it's a change in behaviour on the same diet, they could have early gut slow down - possibly sudden change of temp with the snow. The 1st. sign is often reduced water intake.;)
I'd reduce their veges & see what happens.
