  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Teeth falling out - just broken!!

Travis will still eat even if his teeth need doing, and if the vets have said they need doing, then they need doing!! - I've learnt that!! Trav was still eating with lacerations to his tongue and cheek before now from spurs

i'm glad things are ok. its a shame that dental is required but it sounds like you'd booked that in anyway.

lots of huggles and i'm glad she is ok.

Thanku, I wish she didn't have to have a dental but she isn't munching quite like she normally does so could be a spur or sore mouth. I booked it in when I was at the vets, my vet isn't gonna be there for the next week but I trust everybody so she will get the best care!

Just about to give her some porridge, nice + soft if her teeth do hurt and it's her fave :) Will chop her veggies up small tonight, hopefully she will manage some.

Thanks Eve, hope all went well in your mass visit to the vet!

She has just tucked into her bowl of porridge, she seems more down in the dumps since we got back from the vets, think she is sulking :(
