Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Raven-dental today

Raven is scheduled for his regular dental today. He is not nervous at the vets--yet I always worry.
I would appreciate vibes for my little Raven!

Sending lots of vibes for Raven, its good he isn't nervous. Hope hes soon home and nibbling again xx

Sending brave Raven loads of vibes. I hope he gets on OK, soon comes home and recovers well.

Thanks friends. He was being fussy with food overnight so definitely due for dental; though he was curving his body again too, so at least vet saw it for himself today.

Raven and I thank you for the vibes. Once again the three rear molars on the upper right were hurting his cheek. He was very good at the vets and ate some greens and passed many poops before coming home. He is quite active (for a chill bunny )and is nibbling his greens and hay. He also ate two of his treats which is good news. Last night he wanted a treat then left it after a couple bites.
He got metacam like he does daily and will get syringe fed later tonight.
With all his dentals, monthly now, I am glad vet found the right ga protocol for my boy.

Good to hear that he appears to be recovering well. Does he have a blood profile run regularly now given all the GAs he has to have and the fact he’s on daily metacam? Be good to pick up on renal impairment ASAP as whilst it couldn’t be reversed some supportive treatment options are available to try to minimise the rate of decline.

He’s a strong little Bunny

Pleased to hear that Raven is doing well, your vet sounds brilliant. Well done Raven, enjoy your treats xx

I'm glad he got through his dental well and is already enjoying his food. That's so good that your vet found the right GA protocol for Raven, since he has to have it so often. He seems to be recovering a lot faster these days than he used to.

No blood profile. Last time I asked the vet said need to knock him out to get blood from his neck to get enough to run tests.
