Poorly Meg... OMG I have lost her

Don't give up hope. Flora went into stasis and my vet found a 'mass' in her abdomen. He said it was either a tumor or an abscess. We decided not to open her up to find out because if it was a tumor, there was nothing they could do and if it was an abscess, it could be treated with antibiotics. We just went straight down the antibiotic route and figured that if she didn't improve, it was most likely a tumor. I gave her daily injections for 8 weeks and she was right as rain again.

Meg is still at the vets. She is still being syringe fed. They are going to try and sedate her today (about lunchtime) to see if they can get an Xray and maybe to do some dental work (although they did not think the teeth were the problem).
They need to find out what the mass is in her stomach, But as she is making no effort to eat for herself etc. sedation is a big risk in itself.
Will maybe know more later today.

hope she is better today.
I cant understand why some vets are so awful.
If they don't know why cant they call a specialist? Why do they bother " having a bash with it" like my dumb local vet? and then make more of a mess of it than if they had left them alone.:evil:

i went through the same thing as you not long ago so i know how upset you must be. Just know that you are doing the very best for her and i sincerely hope she is strong enough to get through,
