  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Oh no  I'm so sorry. I have said that I will get no more bunnies after my 2 have gone because I was so heartbroken when I lost Ellie. Animals are beautiful gifts to our lives but sadly they rarely live for as long as we would like. Bunny was clearly very loved and cared for and although you may feel sad I always believe that the animals we have held close to our hearts will never truly leave us.

*hugs*

I am so sorry for you and your bunny....I know exactly how you feel its such heartache I always feel the same when a pets dies I can't eat or sleep and I feel the loss so badly I don't ever think I will recover. But in the end with time we do recover although we never forget them they always remain in our hearts. I hope you feel better soon xxx

Everyone, Thank you sooooo much for replying and responding to me and giving your support. You all have become a great source of comfort to me through out this entire event. I very much appreciate all your thoughts, prayers, crossed fingers and faith in this time, and your thoughts and prayers will still now continue to reach Bunny in heaven. Today I cremated Bunny myself in the garden at home, and it was a very nice send off. If you would like to see Appropriate :) pics of it, then they are on the rainbow bridge thread of Bunny: http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/s...y-8th-May-2012-U-D-appropriate-cremation-pics. All my love to you and your bunnies both here and in the great grass field in heaven forever. xxxxxx
