I would usually go through the estate agents but when I had to communicate with our previous landlord we had his address and he told us to contact him direct.

Unless you know if they are OK with you writing to them direct I would send to estate agents but address Private and Confidential for the attention of your landlords name and address of rented property on the envelope.
