  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I've been told I won't have Doughnut for much longer :(

Thank you. She hasn't eaten anything so I syringe fed her, she seemed to want some food as was biting the syringe! After one syringe full and her calorie laden syringe she didn't want any more, gave some more infracol too.

Seeing my specialist tomorrow so will see what he says.

I hope she will remain as comfy as possible overnight. She's such a special little Bunny xx

Sending loads of vibes for wee Doughnut and hugs for you. I hope things go well with the specialist. xxxx

Thank you, she's gone. I've just put her to sleep with my specialist. I'm heartbroken. Can't describe how hurt I feel.

I am so sorry to hear that news. Doughnut reminds me a lot of my bridge bunny Lopsy and so I’ve always tracked her progress from afar. She was such a tough little bunny. I know how devastated you must be but you know that you did absolutely everything you could for her and she couldn’t have been taken care of any better. Binky free gorgeous Doughnut xxx
