Evo update - update Tue am with a quick question

Well, I had to go out for a couple of hours. Came back to find the 5 SS pellets I had left him had been eated, as well as some more hay and some more dinky little poos in his litter tray. The vet was happy for me to stay at home as long as he keeps eating hay at a minimum.

I'm glad Evo is feeling better.

The things I did when Katy was ill at Christmas with GI statis was to get plenty of fluid into her, this is essential to try and break up any hairballs. I put a dash of boiling water in the bowl to bring it to room temperature. A dash of FRESH pineapple juice can also help to tempt them - try 0.5ml + 4.5ml of water and syringe feed.

I was advised against metacam as a painkiller if their are gut problems.

The other thing is to buy lots of goodies and keep tempting them to eat on their own, lots of different herbs, dandelions etc.
