Dara is showing signs of responding to treatment now. She is still not well, but her blood glucose is down from 15 to 8 and she has a few gut sounds. Her abdomen isn’t guarding when palpated. Still no input or output yet though x

Over the last hour Dara has eaten some Cavolo Nero for herself and now she is sitting in their poo corner with a very determined look on her little face. I am hoping to see a few poops when she moves away. I don’t care how small they are, as long as there are some.

Blood glucose now 6, good gut sounds and on palpating her abdomen there’s no tenderness or guarding. Her stomach is no longer bloated and she has some poop in her intestines. So things are definitely moving in the right direction.
