Chives?

Are chives a good herb for bunnies to eat?
I let the buns have some free range garden time yesterday and I turned around to find Poppy munching her way through my chive plant... I have never fed chives to a rabbit before as I assumed they wouldn't like it...

Oh no! Chives are not safe for rabbits. They're part of the onion 'family'which is a big no-no.

Did she eat much of it?

Thats what I thought... she didn't eat a lot by the looks of it she is absolutely fine though, thank goodness!! I had chives all last year as well but they kept away from them so just didn't think twice about even watching them with the chives whilst I cleaned them out! :roll:

I'm unsure what to do if they do eat somethiing there not, maybe some else can add to it.
But just watch her droppings and all that
