Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Spare vibes for Jimby's vet visit tomorrow

Poor little binglebum has to go to the vets tomorrow for his myxi vaccination. I am really nervous, he had a adverse reaction to it last time and I dont want it to happen again.

No one has any spare vibes?
Just got back with Jims, our vet has said that if he has a reaction to it this time then maybe we will have to talk about not vaccinating him in the future?!

Sorry I missed this. Belated vibes!
Hoping Jimby copes with his vaccination ok, I take it the vet felt he was well enough to have it in the first place? Which must mean he is doing ok, so try not to worry x

He checked him over and thinks he has recovered nicely.
How long can he have the reaction up to? 24-48 hours or more?

Loads of vibes for Jim. Last thing he needs right now is a bad reaction  Got my fingers crossed for him and you. Try not to worry too much (I know thats probably impossible!) xxxxxxxx

Thank you for the vibes guys!
Thank you Gemma, yes it is virtually impossible to not worry as I am sure you know, I love him so much he is my baby!
Do you know how long I need to watch for a reaction?

Sorry, missed this one yesterday. Hope Jims is well today awith no adverse reactions. Lots of 'non-reaction' vibes for him
Tammy x
