  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Sorrel left a bit of celery and some grass earlier :? Only a tiny thing I know but she's never, ever left a single piece of food since I've had her. hopefully they just weren't particularly appetising bits but I'm going to get up a couple of times in the night to check on her in case she's going into stasis, is there anything else I should do??

She was absolutely full of beans this morning, running round and destroying everything, and she seems fine now just a bit sleepy....I'm just paranoid about everything these days

cooled boiled water in a bowl to tempt her to drink and break anything down and some tummy rubs. Hope she's ok x

make her move and keep tempting her with her fav treats.... 1ml of infacol and 10ml of water hourly and then if no better in a few hours panic and get her the vets so they can give her a drip..

took Alvin 5 hours a couple of weekends ago to start eating again cus id dared to have a lie in ...

Well she seems fine now and has been munching lots of grass...had ad harrowing couple of days though with poos barely big enough to see  but theyre back to like 2cm now

i will have to take her to the vet anyway though cos shes not been eating any hay so her spurs will be back again i expect *heavy sigh*
