Are puzzle mats okay to use with bunny?

New Kit
Hi. I use large puzzle mats around my cat litter box which is in the same room as my new bunny. These mats stop litter being flung everywhere so they’ve been great. It’s in the same room as the bunny house (indoor bunny) so when he is allowed freedom, these mats are right there. I am concerned about using them around the bun because, as you know, they like to bite/chew things. I’ve have been using these mats for 2 months and cats are fine with it. Does anyone know if these are safe for the bunny if he bites/chews it?

Unlike cats, Bunnies cannot vomit, so anything they chew can cause an obstruction.
Yes, but they chew wood (table legs), cardboard, paper. These have not cause ever caused an obstruction to the many rabbits I’ve had. But I’ve never had these mats before with a bunny. I hope someone knows about these specifically. Thanks.

They're not safe if he ingests them, no. Wood from furniture, cardboard, and paper can cause an obstruction, too, if they ingest too much of it, but are somewhat natural. These mats are not, and are completely undigestable, and will cause problems if he eats them. They usually only chew the edges, though, so maybe put something over the edges so he can't get to them?
