I know there are varying opinions on corn, as to weather it is safe, so I'm not going to gives the buns as I've read that it can cause blockages and such (although I'm pretty sure one of my house mates used to feed Chaplin the packaged stuff they sell for animals).
However I do have loads of the stuff, I'm going to freeze some and feed it to the rats, but I was wondering about the green "husk" surrounding the actual corn. I know it's stringy but if treated the same way as celery (chop it up into smaller pieces so the fibres at an inch at most) would it be safe? Otherwise I'll probably just be chucking it all away as I doubt the rats would touch it.
