im saying maybe, id only do it if i escorted my buns as well, i note you say they get picked up,
my lot certainly wouldnt like it, but there are some that dont mind the attention, provided they dont mind travel, and yes studio lights are blimin hot,

we deffinatly need to know exactly why and hows etc before giving an honest opinion,

to be honest if you dont do it they will just ask someone reguardless

EDIT IVE CHANGED MY MIND, FASHION SHOOT, SPRING EASTER ADVERTISING CUTE BUNNIES AS AN ACCESSORY NA ( cue buying of more buns etc ), unless its for welfare then no i wouldnt

I voted no - but strictly based on my own bunnies - if you have a bun who doens't get stressed & loves attention, then I don't see why not? Might be good publicity for your Rescue:D Although I also agree with Stator^^

I know my two would be cool with it, they have no problems with going in the car for journeys and Rimmi is great model, lol!! Winter would probably binky everywhere.... mine are really relaxed though.......you would have to judge it on your lot I guess!! :) I was going to take mine to a P@H photo thing but couldnt............lol. Good luck with whatever you choose :D Maybe take one of those indoor cages with you so they have somewhere familiar to hide etc :D

If you can make sure you are allowed to get a pro rescue message across and make sure buns are held properly etc etc, if you don't think they will get stressed go for it...will they make a donation to the rescue ;)

I would want to know EXACTLY what was going to happen before I agreed to it. And I'd want to see the environment it would take place in, to assess temp, lights, noise etc.

apache would prob love something like that because he has no fear and loves to explore new places and get lots of fuss  but Skye would be terrified.

worth considering if you get some publicity for rescues but tread carefully :)

I don't think it's a good idea because it's going to encourage people to think of rabbits in the wrong way, like dolls to be dressed up and any kids watching are going to want to go and get a rabbit without thinking it through :?

This was my first thought, but surely you can find out more details about what's happening and how the buns are goign to be portrayed. The last thing we want is for a load of housewives to watch it and go "aww I think i'll get my kid one of those for Easter" because there's not been any commentary about the rescue efforts.

I think they'll be a prob anyway. My interview is at 5pm, and I need to leave home at 3:30pm to get there, but they said I would be home for 4:30.. so unless they are willing to do a morning shoot, I don't think it is going to happen >.<

My girls may have to just deal with my "homemade" photoshoots on the sofa!

Sorry Kris, I would say no, regardless of how the bunnies would like it or be stressed by it as I think it would give the wrong message saying bunnies can deal with this kind of situation and are "portable pets". The majority of bunnies would hate it but the average watcher of the programm would not know that.

The thing is that the folks who are organising the photoshoot probably don't have a proper understanding of what rabbits are like and will just focus on their task to produce good telly. I'm sure that even if the producers/tv folks like animals they won't understand the welfare considerations properly and it most likely won't be their main concern.

Absolutely no way, unless it was to raise the profile of the animal and their welfare requirements (like Paul O'Grady's) show where they feature animals requiring homes and do vet features showing/advising on the animal and it's needs if taken on as a pet, not to do an 'Easter Fashion Show'. If it was for the Make Mine Chocolate appeal for example then it would be worth it to help protect the rabbit species. I am waiting to see if Ant & Dec are using real monkey's on their new show this weekend, there is absolutely no need to 'use' real animals to sell anything or make a TV show for entertainment. It's wrong, it's exploitation and no where near natural for the animals.

I voted 'no' too, for all the reasons above.

actually thats a very good point, okay so maybe 1 in 30 bunnies wouldnt get stressed out and wouldnt give a toss where they are as theyre so relaxed and oblivious, but the audience wont know that, and would send out the wrong message.

Also... i know everyone has said it but you have to find out about what the point of it is, why is it happening

I would be much more concerned with what they would use it for. If it's an Easter ad glamourizing pet rabbits, forget it! If it promotes rescues and accompanies an article about bunnies, go for it! :) I know my bunnies would love to be representatives for the greater rabbit community. (Not like they need the ego boost )

You know your rabbits best and how well they handle stress. If they ask you to do something you wouldn't approve of, you can always say no and stop it right there. Just use your better judgment and keep watching your rabbits to see how they respond. Can't go wrong with a keen eye and common sense!

But isn't this a good opportunity to teach others how to handle rabbits? I would explain that they are prey animals and are easily stressed by excessive handling and strange surroundings etc... and I would talk out precautionary measures beforehand. I think by being confident about your rabbit and the standard of care you expect, they will learn and take you seriously.

but it wouldnt work like that, i mean it would show the people there at the time, but that wouldnt come across in the final photos/or if it featured on this morning.

no, i wouldn't. i'd maybe let them film my rabbits in their own surroundings to raise the profile of rescues and rabbit welfare but i wouldn't transport them anywhere to be filmed.

But we don't know what the photoshoot is even for yet. :? They called Kris at a rescue, didn't they? If they just wanted fluffy cute buns, wouldn't they just have called a breeder?

I agree with VickyP (yet again).
