Last night at around 9pm I was in the lounge when I heard an almighty noise coming from the kitchen/dining room. Kyle, my boy bun was in his enclosure in the kitchen and it sounded as though he ran at speed and knocked the bars of the pen before hiding in his hidey box. He was trembling when I went out and continued to thump his foot for a few minutes.
Obviously I and my husband checked the house for a cat or something but I just never thought that an animal would come in? The back door was open as I was in and out getting the washing in. I had only left the kitchen a couple of minutes before. We have a very secure and enclosed garden. It has a brick wall about 7ft high going all the way around with a solid gate. I don't know if foxes can jump that high?
What do you think it was that spooked him?
I will not be leaving the back door open again obviously! Luckily Kyle was to spend the night in the lounge anyway so that Matilda and he could date through their enclosures. He instantly relaxed once in the lounge.
It really freaked me out.
