  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Worried about Skye :-( - weight loss UD 8th July another GA

Oh bless her, 3 GA's  your nerves must be in shreds! I really hope she continues with her recovery.

What does the excess yeast mean, did the vet say? Sorry I'm just nosey :

Nose rubs for your brave girl x

Sorry, only just seen this. I think he was a bit puzzled by it to be honest as he said he's never seen anything like it. Skye went in for another liver scan last week and we are waiting on her results. John has said on her scan he could see a build up in the gall bladder which may or may not be a stone starting, so we are to monitor that.

But the BEST news is, as of Monday, Skye weights 3.6kg :D:D:D:D:D She is nearly back to normal (I was aiming for 4.5kg but actually I think if she got there she would be a little overweight, and as Noah is 4kg, I think 4kg is my target)
