Which VHD vaccine?

I want to get my two bunnies vaccinated against VHD, but I remember reading on here about one type of vaccine that causes limping and swelling at the injection site. Which one is this and what is the name of the other vaccine I should ask my vet for instead?

Also, are there any problems with the myxi vaccine that I should be aware of, apart from waiting two weeks between VHD and myxi?

I think it's cylap that can cause the limp. Lapinject is the one to ask for.
Not aware of any mxyi problesms...although i am sure more experienced people will let you know if there is!!!

It is Cylap that is connected to a limp post-vaccine.
Lapinject is the one most people now ask for.

Myxo vacc is fine

Might be an idea to ask your vet about the Lapinject before you need it as alot of vets use Cylap so they may need to order it in for you.

All 14 of my bunnies have been vaccinated with the 'Cylap' vaccine and I have had no problems.

Thanks. I've phoned and made an appointment for next week and specifically asked for the Lapinject. They generally use the Cylap, but did have the Lapinject in and have put on my bunnies' notes to use the Lapinject.

My vets have always used the Cylap so will deffinitely order in Lapinjet, none of mine are due quite yet though.
