when i had hutch bunnies, we used to put an old carpet piece mat that grandad gave us over the hutch and then a tarpaulin over the top, tied down with rope
so wind wouldn#t blow it off, but made sure t had ventilaton in very corners, hutches where filled with lots of hay and straw when it got colder, also our hutches had felt covering not only on roof but on sides and back x
