Hello All,
Thanks so much for your help on the forum over the past few weeks with my Flemish Giant Stanley.
Over the weekend, he was having real issues with diarrhoea, we gave him probiotics and syringe fed him, but he didn't get any better.
I came home for lunch yesterday from work and I found him stranded in the middle of the kitchen floor unable to use any of his four legs and lying with his face on the floor. I had no idea how long he'd been there, but he looked so sad and confused.
He stopped eating and drinking and last night we took him to the vet. They said there was nothing more we could do and that it was definitely a neurological problem, either e cuniculi and the panacur didn't work in time, or some sort of tumour on the brain. So last night we had Stanley put to sleep.
He was our first house rabbit and we had him for 8 years and 9 months, I like to think he had a wonderful life and he gave us so much love in return. Reading this forum has helped me a lot in the past, to understand him more and his little peculiarities and to help with any problems he's had.
Thanks all!
Angela xx
