Yes that's a good idea, I'm sure I've read of another rabbit being injured on those cages, they are rubbish really - I can't see why they sell them tbh, they'd be better adapting the playpen with a base or something and selling that as an indoor enclosure for buns.
I've replied on your other thread, as I've said I've not got experience of fractures or anything so can't say whether that advice was the best or not. As she's young I suppose like human babies the bone might reset itself if she's confined and can't hurt it more. Blimey your having a tough time!
