New Kit
This is my first post so I'm sorry if its in the wrong place.
I have a 4 year old doe, I'm not sure what breed she is, I got her from a friend when she was a baby. She lives in the garden with a house to go in at night but mainly spends most of the day outside. Recently I found she was dragging her hind legs a bit when she was walking so I brought her inside for a night or two and she got better in no time so I thought she must have just had a bump, but a few days ago I noticed the same problem again I've kept her in now so I can keep an eye on her.
Shes eating and drinking fine and her usual self, always up and playful but still dragging her back legs. She can move them so I can rule out broken back and I checked if she was sore in places but she isn't.
Shes a very picky eater (doesn't even like carrot, or hay) we buy her top quality rabbit food because she only picks out the bits she likes in the bog standard stuff. We give her the right kind of treats now and then. I'm a little worried because shes so fussy that it could be shes undernourished and this could be the problem, thats the only thing I can put my finger on.
She seemed a little better today but I'm still concerned. Shes in my bedroom now on a soft towel with food and water so I can keep a close eye on her.
Just wondering if anyones had this problem with their rabbit before? No horror stories please, I'd like geniune advice from people who are well knowledged. Feel free to PM me if you like.
Many thanks.
