  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Peeing on himself - help please

I'm sorry to hear PB is possible poorly again. I wouldn't rule out E.C as his symptoms point in this direction. It may well be that the panacur was working, but as you have just bonded them into a foursome that was most likely a very stressful affair for him, and will have surpressed his immune system. It's very likely this has triggered off the infection again. I would start him on a course of panacur and take him to the vets.

hmmm. i dont know because him and jelly were not stressed at all, it was domino and pebbles who were, but like u said it points to it.

my poor boy.

Sometimes we don't show stress, and like in people, a little stress can affect each person differently :) I really hope he will be ok though! Putting him on panacur won't do any harm and hopefully if it worked last time it should do this time. I would possibly panacur them all as a precaution. I know some vets don't treat other rabbits unless they show clinical signs, but I would do it for peace of mind. :)

At Alison's, I will come pick you up and take you back afterwards :)

Not sure what time yet will check with her

cool. im not sure how to do payment though, bcus its being split between two rescues, and then i have to take a little bit (exact costs of course) for actual printing, so dont know if you/alison want to do cash or like..i dunno 3 cheques?! ill leave it to you to to decide :?
