Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Just managed to get online and see the good news. I hope she is still doing well and that you are able to worry a bit less.
Has the Buprecare made her drowsy?
We’re still doing ok. Things are gradually getting better.
It did initially and I thought she would be like it a while as she was really out of it. The first syringe feed she was just so docile which is not Beauty that I got a bit scared but after that one she fort me so much I think that it brought her out of it a bit so she’s much more her self now although still slightly drowsy.
I am sorry you're having such a time of it. I hope it's not putting you off rabbit keeping. It's not always like this!
Glad she is better now. I always find Bueprecare (Vetergesic) is a two edged sword. It's a really good painkiller but has its drawbacks x
Ah I'm so glad [emoji7]MightyMax- it’s not putting me off keeping rabbits and I would never give up on them!
We did talk about this last time but I got confused over the names for it. Will be going in my book though under both and now seeing it unless she is in a lot of pain I will refuse it.
Graciee- I can see why you don’t like it. I’m not a huge fan after seeing what it does.
Cuthbert&Dillon- thank you.
This morning I woke up to a huge pile of boulders after only three hours sleep. There was a lot of hay gone and a big pile of dried forage. The only thing we need now is the golden colour back.
I think we are going to stay away from the veg as it has been affecting Harliquin with gas a little bit but not as much as Beauty yesterday. We will how ever explore all rabbit safe herbs and keep up with the dried forage.

Yea it's never really helped any of my animals, the opposite actually. But I know there's definitely times to use it etc
You are right to restrict fresh veg in this case. Some rabbits do better on dried forage, though why that should be is unclear. It's the same food without the moisture added.
I hope you can catch up on some zzzzz's today x
.
I think if either of mine were in a lot of pain I would consider it but when metacam will do the same job with out the side effects then I feel it’s much better For the situation.
It’s just a thought and I’m no scientist but I’m wondering if there’s maybe some sort of reaction that might change things when there is moister in it.
I still want to go foraging and see if that has the same effect on them. With it being leaves and flowers as a posed to veg I’m not sure if it will make a difrence and I’ll leave it a while but I’m willing to see. It’s probably going to be more natural for them then the veg from the supermarket.
Please let me know what you think.
Buprecare/Vetergesic I am very wary of except when it's necessary for anaesthesia.
One of my rabbits had a bad reaction which lasted days until I took him to a specialist who gave me something to counteract the effect of the meds.
Yes I think you might be right in your theory. It's just not the same eating dry leaves and drinking water than eating fresh forage. I dry forage and sometimes mine will get the same stuff but dried not fresh. It would be interesting to see whether that made a difference to your buns. Hope I've made sense there!
Veg from the supermarket can be quite rich, and forage is a more natural and fibrous rabbit diet. It should be less likely to cause gas.
So definantly one to stay away from then.
I hope your rabbit made a full recovery after the counter active meds.
It does make sense. I don’t want to keep them away from things that are good for them either. We probably won’t be able to forage every day so will probably dry it as well.
I think the other thing as well is with fresh veg we call it fresh but but from the moment it’s cut/picked it’s dead and starts to decay no mater what preservatives are used. It may be slowed but not stoped which is why it goes off.
With dried forage that decay is stoped once it’s dried so is much fresher if dried promptly.
I don’t know really just airing thoughts.
