legs / feet akimbo

No worries. I just thought I should answer in case this is a spinal issue for Boo, or if she hasn't been the most mobile bunny I suppose it could be muscle wastage as it can be the same for us as we age. I don't think, despite having exercise pens, that Fiver ever really moved enough to keep himself fit, plus he had a bad start in life being the plaything for 4 rambunctious boys aged about 8 years old. He was returned to Petco and adopted out again to a place where he was kept in a dark basement pen and returned again. Then we found him.

Perhaps Boo is just aging, but it wouldn't hurt to ask your vet about it if it's really troubling you. I kind of wish I'd bugged my vet about Fiver more instead of just chalking it up to arthritis and thinking metacam would keep things level. But it's still sad to see our companions get older and frail. ((((((Huge hugs)))))) xxxxx

Thanks MM. I'm not really worried to be honest but will defo gather vets thoughts. She is still a pretty active bun (Eddy see's to this). Still nice & clean & no trouble balancing for grooming awkward places

Hi J and B, zigs does this a lot and I was told by the RVS (exotic specialists) that this is due to Zigs joint issues. Sorry to not share positive news. But it might not be the same for Boo

awwww
I can't recall hearing of double joints before. How did you find out about Blossoms?
Hen she arrived she appeared impossible to do nail trims as she could literally bend away.

I mentioned it to the vet at her first health check and she discovered she's completely double jointed and has stretchy skin. The vet thinks she's a carrier of rabbit Ehler Danlos syndrome with mild symptoms.

We're likely facing early arthritis for her and have to be careful to avoid dislocating anything. Luckily she's very docile to handle.

Interesting. I hope it does not increase her chance of arthritis.
Having a bunny who allows handling is a big help when you have to give medicine or syringe feeds.
