Is ash good for rabbits

Hi, how are you?

I run a small business and I was going to start selling dried Ash sticks for rabbits but I was messaged by someone on Instagram saying they heard that Ash isn't good for rabbits. I was wondering if anyone knew if ash is good or bad for rabbits? And if it isnt good for a rabbit fresh can you feed it dried?

Thank you
Grace

Hi Grace,

Rabbits can eat Ash leaves and sticks fresh or dried and it's usually very popular. We have a large Ash tree in the garden and my rabbits are given Ash regularly. Several other forum members also feed Ash to their rabbits. I'm not sure of any particular properties in Ash which would make it especially 'good for rabbits', but all rabbit friendly leaves and sticks are very beneficial to a rabbit's digestion.

I feed my rabbits several different types of tree leaves and sticks.
