As for colouring, his only brother was pure black (normal) dutch, and so was his sister. Their dad was a dutch and their mom was a netherland dwarf. Boomer came out light brown, mis marked, and with blue eyes! :shock:
I thought he was a fawn mis-marked dutch, then the blue eyes were just an outcome of his parents genes. I didnt think he was a vienna orot ot anything :? lol!

Yeah, Ive never seen one like him either, so thats why I bought him! I couldnt have him get sold on me, he was too stunning

I'm thinking dad wasn't actually a dutch, but a vienna marked black. They can be called dutch marked, but are not traditional dutch. I have a dutch that looks like a mismarked dutch, but is actually a vienna black. But all that is besides the point, lol, because he is beautiful

I just believed Boomers dad was pure dutch becuase of the traditional dutch blaze, socks, and overall body shape that Boomer has/resembles (definately not a pure-bred netherland dwarf)... I was just told his dad was a 'dutch', so figured thats where he got his mis marked markings, that are similar to what a standard dutch has. know what I mean? lol

I just googled 'Vienna marked black' and this doe looks VERY VERY VERY similar to Boomer, marking wise (same type of patching), same body size, and shape! I think you are right, he is not dutch, but a vienna black x
