Wise Old Thumper
She did lose weight on hay only.
As we moved three times she saw a few vets (but all of tem have seen the weight chart from the previous vets) and some of them are supposed to be rabbit wise vets.
She is three and four months.
We live in London.
I think you need to see an exotic specialist. Hay only should atleast make even a slight improvement over several weeks - those chronically affected can take months-years to clear completely, but I would expect atleast some improvement over several weeks if you really did feed just hay and NO pellets at all? :? or veg? Weight loss is normal if bun is overweight to begin with, but not if bun is underweight or of normal weight.
She may have an underlying condition that is predisposing her to this messy bottom, it may be intestinal in origin - bacterial, autoimmune etc. or it may be something else underlying elsewhere. I feel she really does need further investigations with a specialist now.
I don't know of any specific exotic vets in London, the nearest I am aware of is in Kent, however, there are a few 'good' rabbit savy vets in the London area so I would suggest you try these or consider a referral a little further away either in person or by fax/email through your current vet.
Whereabouts in London? North? South? Have you tried posting a thread here in rabbit chat to ask for recommendations?
