I went into pets at home today and there large double cage is on offer. i am thinking of getting a new cage to bond my 2 does together. Then getting my dad to somehow conect there cages to it when they are bonded. so they will have a large double decker and a chicken run type on each side....anyway while i was looking a man came over so i told him my plans. he said had i tried the rabbits together? he did say that they will be better spayed and i explained that they were outdoor rabbits and i was waiting till spring cause i cant bringthem in till spring...1 or 2 nights would be ok but not a couple of months. Icame home and thought about it and because ive housed them so that they can see each other all the time i thought i'd try it.......
just off my utility room i have a toilet and i tried them in there together,,i think it went ok?? for the first minute they ignored each other and then bunny tried mounting miffy. i clapped my hands and they huddled together in a corner. i stroked each of them. they just sat huddled for about 10 mins but i was so nervous i put them back in their cages.......now i am worried ive made a mistake, but they have been next to each other now for about a year.
could i have them spayed now, bring them in for a few days and then back out? i could leave the window open in the room they will be kept in until they go back out or is this too much of temp changes?
sorry for the long winded post.......
