how well do you get on with your vet ?

The vets are my surgery are all ok, but there are two I ask for, as I trust them a little more. They know I'm fairly knowledgeable about buns, so I don't get a lecture every time I go in, and they always give the treatment I'm expecting. I've only used them once in an emergency (Bobby last year!) and they were great then. They are also extremely cheap, so very handy when you've got 5 buns to vaccinate :D

I like my vet... but I don't seem to able to trust on him completely... Not that it's his fault actually, but I know I am one of his few "rabbitcustomers" . But he is still the best vet for rabbits available in Geneva. There are just very few houserabbits here and since vacinations are forbidden, very few people go to the vet regulary... I must be quite anoying to him I guess ,because I always have lots of questions. I always go for a second or thirth opinion aswell. I have one vet who works as a behavioural specialist in geneva, but she works as a vet in Germany and you can phone the only rabbitrescue in Switzerland to speak to a really experienced vet. Those phonecalls help paying for the shelter since its a 0900 number. I tend to contact all 3 of them if I have a serious question....

I get on well with most of the vets and nurses where I go. My two have a few fans among the nurses! I also like that they often don't charge me for things like nail trimming, when I know that really they should.

I think I'm lucky that my vets are good with small animals but it does worry me that they now use VetsNow for out of hours, you don't always get a rabbit savvy vet and they're very expensive.
