Did you buy her from a pet shop, it is unlikely they will vaccinate or spay their rabbits :)
Have you got proof they are vaccinated or did your parents go and vaccinate them at the vets for both VHD and Myxo

If you look at liquorice's past threads you will see that her rabbit IS spayed, she was a few weeks ago. :)

You will just have to spend loads and loads of time with your current bunny so she isnt too lonely, and maybe she will come round one day soon.

Aww i'm so sorry that your mum wont even look. :( *hugs* xx

My dad is really nice and would get dog, another rabbit and a guinea pig if my mum wasn't in charge

Why not explain to him the benefits of a 2nd bunny, then get him to talk to your Mum on an adult level about why it may be best.

Oooo good idea but my mum an dad are permantly arguing and not very you know like in a good relationship at the moment cause they been together for twenty years +

Just made my rabbit a toy which is a cardboard tube with celery and straw al the way through it. She is attacking it at the moment

Hiya Liquorice and family!

Rabbits are far, far happier with the company of their own kind.

Your set up is fantastic!!!! One of the best I've ever seen.:D What lucky, lucky buns!

It does have to be the right time for the owner to be able to offer the correct amount of care to another bunny but yes bunnies are very sociable animals and do thrieve when living together.
We had Jimby for just over a year before we rescued Cookie and even though he was a very happy bunny as he is an indoor bun and I do not work due to health issues so he had a lot of company the transformation when we got Cookie was amazing, once they were bonded it was so sweet to see them together and even now when they snuggle up and groom each other my heart melts!
I can tell Jimby is a much happier bunny now that he has a wife-bun, plus it gives me the comfort of knowing that when I am out and about he is not on his own and feeling lonely, he has someone who he can talk too and who understands him fully!
