Feeding my bunny

I seriously believe it might be worth her going under sedation and for a truly rabbit savvy vet to check her teeth. It really does sound dental, but im no teeth expert - i'm only going on what i've learnt.

The vet is a rabbit specialist. Shes treated Lilly since the day i had her, she came with a uterine infection, then she suffered from muscle spasms which cause the head tilt.

Shes just a fussy bunny, she chewing and eating branches and she will start eating again when she wants so if it was teeth she would lose rather a lot of weight and not eat at all. I was just wondering about new ideas to try her on

Okay, in which case, i'm sorry i can't help.

Hope someone else can come along with further ideas, but for now, i bow out

It's good you feel confident in your vet. :) Sorry if this has already been tried/suggested, but have you tried alfafa cakes? My bun was given some at Christmas, and ejoys chewing on them - the packet recommends just 1 or 2 a day, but they keep him busy for a while. You can also get hay cakes - bigger, but might also appeal if your bun likes to chew on things.

I do feel confident with her and plus its the only vet Lilly likes :)

No i havent tried alfafa cakes or hay cakes. Where would i be able to get these from? I havent seen them in the local pet shop. I would wanna try these, are they quite tough like they have to work for them?

I hope you can find something she enjoys eating. Maybe one of the 'special' hays like burns green oat?

As she's being spayed soon, it would be an ideal time for your vet to have a good look at those teeth.
