  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Excess Caecs.. :/ Question, Post #20

I've had a thought, and i've picked up the bag of hay from the farmer man :D

Could 'off' dried bramble leaves cause this do you think?

Its all coinciding with using the dried brambles, i had 6 bags full of them, and if i think about it, i *think* this may started when i changed bags. Do dried brambles go 'bad' even though they look 'okay' ? They are very dry and wrinkled, but still quite green coloured. I'll cut them out for a few days if the hay doesn't make any difference after ~1week or so.

Just throwing ideas out there - hay change occurs tonight when i change litter trays.

Thats very kind of you thumps_  If the hay doesnt make any difference, i may take both yourself and Sky up on the offer :)

Thanks everyone so far!

This is why i love RU.

My brambles are still ok. I've found with Mini if I don't give her forage sometimes she's worse. So hay and pellets alone without something green for variety seems to set it off.

I'd be surprised if it was the bramble leaves, because they don't get mould/rusts at their most vulnerable - damp winters outside.

Is there any change in her wastes Gray?
