i have a english lop why do you want to know ?
Jane, I think its great you are undertaking some research on this breed.
Let us know how it goes.
Just wondering what the research is for, are you sending the info we have given you somewhere?
Quite a few English Lops pass through rescues. Found this advert for Dumbo at Elaines (he has/had health problems). What about contacting rescues and getting info on the bunnies they have had in

Found another article on the show standards. Head and ears (30 marks)
Not sure if this is the show standard for US or UK. Might be worth contacting the BRC and getting their standard?

We must be lucky we dont have any health issues with any of ours x
the oldest we have is 3&1/2years old and no health issues at all -
I think if you know how to keep them right and they have not been inbred like alot are (not ours) then there are health issues - so many breeders breed very closely - which I do not agree with at all
We had one buck (not that we bred) who had awful ears bless him - but they healed very well and no problems since the inital problem - he was kept in a hutch too small and started eating his ears! Glad we had him to make him better! and he now is at a pet home.
So is 3.5 years the life expectancy of an EL ?
