  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Daisy is in for Spay

Wise Old Thumper
Could we have vibes please? She's had her breakfast and the lovely Greta has taken her to the Vets. I saw Daisy advertised. She was living with a Guinea Pig in a wire cage. She had spent 2 years on her own then the previous owners bought a Piggy for company. Hopefully she will be able to have a Rabbit friend soon.

Daisy's spay has gone well and she can come home at 2.30! I hate doing it, but now she can have a friend. She will be indoors for a couple of days.

I'm really glad her spay went well. Well done, Daisy. Sending lots of vibes for her, and I hope she'll have an easy recovery. It'll be lovely for her to have a bunny friend instead of a guinea pig.

Brilliant news. Wishing Daisy a good recovery. Have you a friend in mind for her?

No - I am trying to bond Summer and Louie but he just keeps jumping back into the hutch and Summer is too scared to follow him. I have put it on hold for a couple of days.

Daisy is recovering well, eating and pooing, she never drinks a lot but will check she has done a wee in the litter tray shortly. She's had some Metaclop.....

I've just rang the Vets to tell them how well she is recovering. She had done a rather large wee in her litter tray so I am really pleased it has gone so well.
