Was giving Betty some freedom time round the whole of the garden earlier when i noticed blood on the bottom of her back right foot and on the grass
After a bit of cuddling and bribery she let me have a look and from what i can see she has a cut maybe a puncture wound. I have booked her into the vets for tomorrow but wondered what should i do in the meantime. I have bathed her foot with cooled boiled water and cotton wool to clean but should i spray some savlon antiseptic on it or anything??? She doesnt seem in discomfort and is walking on it fine and eating and drinking as usual.
I am really cross as i know i had rabbit proofed the garden and it was safe so wondered how she had done it and found 3 of those short fat nails you use for tacking on felt onto shed roofs etc. My neighbour had done his aviary roof yesterday so i reckon he must of dropped them over our fence
