banana leaves

Hello, we have banana trees in our backyards. would it be safe to dry out the leaves or feed them fresh to Bean? My dad sometimes sprays weed spray in our yard but only on the walkway up to our back door which is on the complete opposite side of the yard where the banana trees are. Would Bean be okay if I gave them to him?

Personally I wouldn't feed anything which could have even possibly come into contact with weed spray. Not worth the risk. Perhaps I am over-cautious.
