There are a few foxes (very) near me. One passes the gate about 11.30pm and goes into neighbouring gardens. Others are in the churchyards close by in both directions, and the dogs tell me what route they have taken across the green. I've not had sightings actually in the garden for several years (maybe having dogs helps), but there's obviously no reason why they couldn't be.
At my friend's house, a very large fox followed me and the dogs around the estate in the middle of the afternoon. It was only a few feet behind us. Dogs were not happy, and it really wasn't bothered.
