A new member of the family!

Awww he is gorgeous! I love the colour of his coat [emoji4]

That's fantastic that he already knows his name. I'm sure he will do well at puppy classes. Poodles are very intelligent.

He sounds as if he has had some busy doggy days. No wonder he yawns in the car [emoji173]

He was black with some silver coming through on his nose, he’s got more of the silver hairs coming through on his body and legs now. It will be interesting to see what colour he ends up

He’s learned how to come down stairs now, he whined a bit at first as he was doing it because he was scared but he’s doing it now. At first we had to help him manually and coax him with slices of sausage and liver cake but now he can do it by himself and he’s very pleased about it! I am too tbh because carrying him down 2 flights of stairs was tricky

 Glad he's mastered the stairs! Sometimes when puppies vaccines are delayed at work and it's a big dog, the clients get frustrated they can't go out, and everyone is like just carry them to get them socialised etc but I feel bad for them and see it's easier said than done to carry a big wriggly pup everywhere  I can't carry Jack for long at all in my arms and he weights less than Yoshi  Some one came in with a big mastiff pup in a cart once and I thought they have the right idea

Thankyou  it’s handy that he can now do the stairs  he’s growing very fast and he’s just such a lovely dog  he likes it in the van and he’s got used to the car too now. We are taking him in his first trip overnight in the van on Saturday. So excited to get out and about with him!

Aww he melts my heart, just want to cuddle him  I'm sure he'll enjoy his van adventure :D

 thanks, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Puppy class was funny. For about half a second as we walked in and some of the other puppies were barking he looked a bit worried. Then from then on he decided he would rather play with these people and their dogs and we were an inconvenience to him so he didn’t pay much attention  until I bought a tube of salmon pate then he started to listen  I suppose it’s like when a kid goes from playing at toddler group to going to school. They’d rather play! Hopefully next week will be better! He’s very clever so I’m just concentrating on learning what to do so I can pick it up after if necessary.

Aww, playing does sound like much more fun than learning stuff. It's amazing how well they listen when you have food, though. He sounds so cute and funny.:love:

Exactly :lol:he is so funny! He loves going in the shower cubicle and yesterday we tried turning on the shower and he wanted to play in it! He loves the hose pipe and taps in the garden. So last night I got in the shower and he came in with me, so I washed him in there :lol:he preferred it to the bath!

So, Yoshi enjoyed his first night away in the van on Saturday. He laid down and slept for the journey, and then when we got there we went to the pub. We took it in turns to take him outside because he was excited to meet everyone and couldn’t settle very well! He settled enough for us to eat, and we took him on a pub crawl of the 3 pubs in the village before we went back to the van. He had a lot of firsts over the 24 hours! First pub, first time outside on pavements, first time on a walk, we had a little walk to a waterfall yesterday morning and he had his first swim. He saw sheep and horses for the first time, and met all sorts of dogs. He slept through Sunday lunch, once he had finished his chicken foot! We were very pleased with how he coped with everything

Aww, what an exciting time for him! That's a lot of new experiences! How wonderful that he coped well. Did he like his first swim?

I think he was a bit surprised that the water was deeper than he thought! He kind of slipped in! We thought he would just want to paddle. But he coped well and continued with paddling afterwards.
