Since it's for under the tv, what about a wide second hand dvd/vhs player or something? Wouldn't look out of place at all then. The old sky boxes are quite big so they might suit!

Could you use books? I know that sounds strange, but I find if I get big old encyclopedias or something alfie can't move them. He can move other stuff :roll:
