  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Please tell me what this is and if it is something a should worry about.

New Kit
I have a 2 year old female rabbit. She broke a leg a long time a ago and I did everything to get surgery for it. I think it was worth it (expensive but worth it see her walk just fine now)
She is active and I clean her up when needed but she is very clean as well. Last night I notice a little either tiny worm looking thing next to her part. I don’t know if I should squeeze it? It doesn’t smell or looks red; it looks soft and white. It’s hard to see but it is not like a dot but more like the seize of a rice grain. C52CABF2-C3B1-4984-B667-2D9A5EA16746.jpeg

Looks as though it might be a polyp, although the lack of pigmentation is an unusual feature. That makes it look more like a small pustule. I would get a Vet to take a look as things can appear very different irl than they might do in a photo. The Vet will also be able to assess what the area feels like. In the meantime don’t touch it at all
