Julie, try not to worry, she'll probably feel spaced out for the rest of today, if not tomorrow as well. It's important you keep her gut working, try and get her to eat some hay, do you have any Critical Care you can give her?

Eeek!! Although I agree with what you've done rescuing her, please please buy her a proper new cage/hutch with solid floors!! You can litter train her to use one corner or go in a litter tray, those wire floors are SO bad for their feet, they can get sore, or get cuts on them which can lead to...

Well, it's a long and VERY disappointing story. That rescue shouldn't call themselves a rescue at all!! I've emailed Tamzin and Adele to investigate as they had some very odd procedures, I won't go into it all yet, but they expected me to leave Lou with them for a week and they'd apparantly do...

I'm not experienced with spays, but I'd say she'll probably feel a bit miserable for about 48 hours after the op, after two weeks her wound should be satisfactorily healed, by 4-6 weeks her hormones should have subsided.

Hi again! Sorry just wanted to clear up my typo - Myxi is twice yearly, VHD is once a year (depending on your vet and area) that is what mine recommends.

Also, it's very inexpensive to neuter, my buck was £35 although I have heard some vets are cheaper, make sure you go to a small animal specialist vet as I've heard some nightmare stories about butcher vets :evil:

Absolutely essential, rabbits can be stroppy, territorial, and males will spray urine and scent mark like mad if not. It's much better for their health, prevents testicular cancer in males and ovarian and uterine cancer in females :)

Hi and welcome!! Myximatosis shoudl be done from 10 weeks of age and VHD two weeks after, VHD is normally a twice yearly jab, Myxi is annual for the boosters. It's essential as both of these are awful, killer diseases. Also, make sure he's neutered if he's not already :o

I really hope the jabs for the others work, Phill. I just worry that the incubation period may already be taking place on the others, I so hope its not too late. :cry:
