Wise Old Thumper
It's a bird fat ball feeder: £1 from Wilko.
Here it is, stuffed with hay and pellets, hanging from the top of the run. He wasn't interested at first but by the morning it was empty!
The next morning he hadn't bothered with it, so that evening I took it down and left it for him. There was a lot of banging about and the following morning it was empty again. This morning, last night's efforts were also empty from its hanging position.
I put a bit of hay in the bottom, then add pellets, then a bit more hay followed by more pellets, until it's almost full. I can fit my hand inside because I have teeny-tiny hands, but I imagine most people can't!
Other ideas is to stuff it with include dried forage, fresh stuff from outside, kale... The 'holes' aren't too large or too small, I find them just about right to hold most things!
