Mama Doe
On Sunday we went up to Animal Lifeline rescue in Sutton - Surrey which was very close to London! It took us approx 1:45 hours to get there. Gino fortunately coped very well with the travelling and was snoozing the whole time. For those who don't know or remember, I took Gino on at the end of August from a family who did not look after him properly- he had a poor life. As Gino is estimated to be 5/6 years old. We decided it would be a good idea to adopt a neutered male with the intentions of the future. When the inevitable happens and Gino passes away we can bond the young boy with my girls - Ruby & Daisy.
We had the choice out of 12 neutered males that were all 12 weeks old and in a group together. It was so hard choosing but we decided to go for one that was quite small and was different to our other pigs - they had quite a few agouti mixes and as we have 3 already we decided to go for something completely different. Our little boy is black & cream with a little crest He does have a scab wound on his nose which was most likely the result of having so many males together but hopefully this should clear up very soon.
He does have no name at the moment as can't decide on one. Although my my mum wants to call him Alfonso and my dad wants to call him Giuseppe! I quite like Gizmo too!
I apologise for the quality of these photos - these were taken on my phone!
