Fergus is a ginger neutered male guinea pig with a medium length coat and a white blaze. He arrived at HH in April 2010 from a school where he and his brothers had been kept for the children.
Three males together will always fight and these were covered in scabs and scars. They were not above nipping the children either, at least they could defend themselves! They were all thin and frail, but quickly put on weight and muscle from the large cages we gave them.
HH kept them next to each other so they could still argue but not hurt each other. As each became healthy enough he was neutered and then gave him a ladypig or two.
HH had to be careful as at 4 years old they were at the end of the age range where it was safe to do. They certainly were not fit enough when they first arrived . Fergus was the last of the three to become healthy enough to neuter as he had been the thinnest and had infected wounds for which he had a course of antibiotics. He now lives with Precious Lilywhite.
