  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Kevin Eatwell (?) at D*ick Vets

parsnipbun

Wise Old Thumper
Anyone had their bun see him?

Particularly with bulla/ear issues?

Forgot about the problem with D*ick vets:roll::roll:

Kevin was the vet that did my Finley's ears he had bulla abscess and Kevin did an amazing job he's got a technique that means the ears look normal afterwards and he gave me a healthy happy Finley until his stasis problems claimed him from me. He's also looking after Dana at present

So sorry to hear Finlay is no longer with you. Interested about this special technique . .

It's about where they make the incision its still major surgery but as he explained it to me before when they did a bulla osteotomy they altered the confirmation of the ear so bunny didn't look as before the new way means when all the fur grows back bun looks as before. Kevin is super talented and makes the risks etc clear to understand I run a risk of facial paralysis in Finley as he needed both sides done.
Kevin could explain things a lot better than me as there is a few ways to sort out bulla problems & he would need to asses your bunny first
