Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Can rabbit go to vets if she has got a litter?

What happens if a rabbit needs to visit the vets when she has a litter of 2 week old babies? My friend has given a home to an unwanted female rabbit and her 2 week old babies, but she is concerned that the rabbit may have 'teeth trouble'. She obviously doesn't want to cause unecessary stress to the rabbit or babies. The rabbit is eating, but seems to find it uncomfortable. Any advice please?

Yes she can. If it can wait until she is settled then that is better, but if not then if she has to go she has to go.

Is she still eating? If she's eating I'd put it off a while longer, if not there's no other choice unfortunately.

Good luck to her!

Thanks guys. This rabbit is eating better now. My friend "Loulabel" has posted in "Rabbit Chat" about this bun.
