For anyone who's made their own hutch as I plan to, are ramps a good idea or is it best to have a single story cage? (I'm planning to use creative cubes.)

are you making an indoor cage for them?
With cubes that fit together?
with the cubes you dont need to make a ramp, make them 1 cube high and they should be able to jump up onto the next level :wave:
or if you want the bottom level higher than just 1 cube, make a 'stairs' going up?
