RubyTed
Wise Old Thumper
I just wish....
...that all buns had such a good start in life as my Frenchie-bums. I remember a diddy Teddy hopping after me wherever I went! He didn't leave my side and if I stopped then he'd flop down. Ruby isn't as affectionate to that extent, but the minute I got her through the door she was flopperated on my lap with her brother (who brought her). She wasn't scared or stressed by the four hour journey. Now, settled in, they are the most wonderful pair (bar the excessive humping :lol. They both jump on me at once....because Ted HAS to have my attention...and Ruby has to have Teddy's! The mad binkies in the morning that probably wake up the neighbours! The bickers over veg, stealing it out of each others mouths.
...then there's Max. He's such a sweet bun when I'm with him, but startles really easily. I can't imagine what goes through his head...but I can't bear the thought that it's mostly fear....of me, of noises, of smells, and sights. How can people be happy with getting a pet and then ignoring it? People socialise dogs. Why not buns? We're such an important part of their lives. We're responsible for everything about them......why are there so many owners out there?!
I'm sure Max will get to that point, in time. When he calms down, and is happy...but it angers me that he hasn't always been like this! His old owners failed him!
grrrrrrr......rant over!!
