Think I failed myself

Hopper

Mama Doe
Remember Anya and leo, the 2 cats took from the damp caravan with flu. Well we recently got the remaining 9 out. 2 went to anya and leos foster mum, 1 with faye on here and I took 6  I had to pen them as all un neutered, boys now have a foster home and 2 girls went to maidstone to a foster home. How ever, Carma (which I named her) remained here. Ive erm grown pretty attatched to her. She had emg spay yesterday after a ultra sound showed early pregnancy and her uterus collapsing :( I was so worried all night as her temp drpped, she was sick a few times and had the runs. Slept an hour and thats it. She seems better today, but I dont think I can bare to part with her  It's like we have just clicked and something special there, she is a real poppet.

Thing is, running a rescue I shouldnt be fail fostering myself :roll:

Here she is:

Aaww she looks lovely.

When they've been poorly you get really close to them so its natural that you can't give her up.

My sisters been keeping me up to date with this lot. Its a nightmare isn't it. I think the lady who used to own these cats has been evicted now, I hope where ever she goes she doesn't get any more.

Carma is lovely looking little thing, well done for helping her and her friends.

Hi, is your sister hazel?

Yes the lady is moving end of this month, this week! Hazel has been keeping watch out to make sure no more cats are about and she hasnt tried to hide any, none seen yet. Im preying once she moves she wont start this up again. These cats are seriously ill. One girl has such bad eyes, they were oozing so bad and sealed shut with inner eyelid vet couldnt even get to the eye to see it. Most really under weight, snotty noses and respitory problems. Some feral like and totaly scared of humans through shear lack of human contact and socialisation :( All to ill or under weight to be spayed or nuetered yet, carma was done because it was emg and she was at risk of dieing. She is a year old and weight 1.5kg

You haven't failed! You know how cats are; she decided to stay.:)

You know i think your all right. Out of all them she came round quicker than the rest and was calm enough to be allowed let out the pen. She just fitted right in like she had always been here. 6 years ago I lost a black cat trough renal failure, this sounds weird but its almost as if its her, not because their same colour as seen many black cats etc.. but its like we have known each other a long time and she acts the same also? Its definatly she belongs here, she is such a sweet heart

Yup shes my big sister.

Poor cats. It must have been hell in that caravan, I think to start with there were 16 cats in there in total

I think it's fate! :)
The previous owner should never be allowed to keep any animals. Having an animal is an honour that some people don't deserve.

I was just sad and angry and when the rspca went in day before us and took four, they pts immidiatly with out giving them a chance, just saying they dont have the funds! Im a hell of alot smaller rescue yet manage somehow? They did come back next day to get rest but luckly hazel got in just in time to get them out :D

Yes, they are putting alot of pressure on the rescue funds, but I know they can be saved and treated successfuly. Anya and Leo came through, the 2 we took out from there last december, both now have their new home :D

It gets me how some people cant see there is anything wrong with what they are doing? This woman thought everything was fine, yet poor Lolas eye was oozing puss, most sneezing with snotty noses and respitory infections and some so under weight :(

I am just so glad they are out, and each time I look at carma I think she must be so releived, even though just had an operation. The boys have come round lovely, purr away for a fuss and love meal times :D

I can totally understand getting close to them when they're so vulnerable - bless her :(
The girlie I'm fostering here is still very timid - she's very quiet... poor girl hides away during the day and only wonders around at night... I'm hoping that she'll take the lead from my 2 cats now that she's not quarantined and gain confidence
She is fine being stroked and starts to enjoy it after a bit though, so I'm sure she'll come round :D
Here's a piccie:

I've had to rush carma in the vets thismorning. Woke at 5.50am to faint meowing, went out to look and she was dragging herself along floor. I checked her over and her stomach where she had spay had swollen badly (it wasnt like that when I checked her at 10pm!). She has an infection that has kicked in real fast and badly. She is in and on a drip and they have managed to stabelise her. I am so worried and a wreck at the moment :(

Lola has also been taken for last minute spay as she has come in heat and Charlie has shown interest, this and her eye not responding they decided to get her in today, spay her and sort eye, which was suggested to be possibly removed :(

She loooks lovely and I'm glad you've found a nice cat that you've bonded with, you actually remind me of myself a little. I used to work in a petshop and two lionheads came in and all I did was play with them all day and found myself becoming really attached...next day I bought the pair and they are now my little Joey and Scooch. I'm glad I took them. I hope she gets better soon.

Oh poor Carma, I hope everything goes ok for her. After all she's been through she deserves a good home with you and I will be praying for a speedy recovery for her.
